PM Modi to virtually inaugurate 11 medical colleges in Tamil Nadu today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate 11 government medical colleges and a new campus of Central Institute of Classical in Tamil Nadu today, January 12, through video conferencing.
To strengthen the health care infrastructure of Tamil Nadu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today unveil 11 new government medical colleges in the state and also inaugurate a new campus of Central Institute of Classical.
The Centre is working with states under the Central scheme to establish more government medical colleges in the country. These new medical colleges in Tamil Nadu have also been established under the Central government's scheme. The Centre has contributed nearly INR 2145 crore of the total expenditure of INR 4000 crore.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweet reads, "At 4 PM tomorrow, 12th January, 11 new medical colleges will be inaugurated in Tamil Nadu. These medical colleges will augment health infrastructure and ensure affordable healthcare to the people of Tamil Nadu."
PM's tweet on Central Institute of Classical says, "The culture of Tamil Nadu is globally admired. It is our constant endeavour to preserve and celebrate this culture. In this context, a new campus of Central Institute of Classical Tamil will also be inaugurated tomorrow."
