UP CM Yogi Adityanath has said that PM Modi will inaugurate seven new medical colleges during his visit to Siddharthanagar on October 25.

While addressing media in Siddharthanagar, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate seven new medical colleges during his visit to Siddharthanagar on October 25.

Yogi also said that the National Medical Commission (NMC) has given its approval to the seven newly constructed medical colleges in the state. The seven colleges will be in the districts Bahraich, Mirzapur, Deoria, Etah, Hardoi, Ghazipur, and Siddharthanagar. The admission process will start from this academic session through NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test) examination.

"As many as 700 MBBS seats will increase in this academic session in Uttar Pradesh after the inauguration of seven medical colleges and it will be a record,” said Yogi, as reported by India Today

He reaffirmed his government's commitment to providing the best health care facility to the people of UP and for this, his government is forming a chain of medical colleges in the state. He said that PM Modi inaugurating these seven medical colleges will start a new golden chapter of health care facilities in Uttar Pradesh and there will be no shortage of doctors in the state.

"Two years ago, the construction of a medical college was announced in Siddharthnagar district and now it is ready. It is named after BJP's first state unit president and Jana Sangh leader Madhav Prasad Tripathi, popularly known as Madhav Babu," he added.

"There was earlier only BRD Medical College in the Gorakhpur-Basti zone, but now AIIMS is almost ready and hopefully will be inaugurated by PM Modi in the coming 1.5 months." he further added.
