Rajasthan govt, doctors face-off continues over Right to Health bill
Reportedly, the protesting doctors are being arrested in Rajasthan. Doctors association RDA AIIMS Delhi alleged that the government is forcibly releasing false letters and arresting the protesting doctors. On one hand, the government is not ready to take back the Right to Health bill, which was recently passed in the state Assembly, and on another hand, the doctors are not ready to give up on their protest against the bill.
While all doctors' associations are supporting the protest by Rajasthan doctors against the recently passed Right to Health bill, the government is not ready to take back the bill back at any cost. Now, RDA AIIMS Delhi has alleged that the Rajasthan government is releasing false letters and also arresting the doctors involved in peaceful protests against the bill.
RDA AIIMS Delhi tweet reads, "Shame on @RajGovOfficial !! Instead of solving the issue peacefully protesting doctors are being arrested by @PoliceRajasthan. Forcibly false letters being issued. Doctors are unable to reach their leaders. Urgent intervention needed."
In a letter by JARD - Joint Action Committee SMS Medical College to the principal of the college, the doctors have highlighted that the government arrested their officials to end the protest. As per the letter, the current officials of JARD are not in touch with the protesting doctors.
The letter also added that despite the government's efforts to end the protest, the doctors are going to continue with their protests and demands.
All India Medical Students' Association (AIMSA) tweeted, "@official_aimsa requests all medical students and doctors to support No To right to health Rajasthan movement by writing No To RTH on one page and making a photo and video 9024200100 WhatsApp no. Please send with college name and address, MBBS batch. You can give your support even by taking out candle march, we will upload your photo and video on social media."
