After the Right to Health Bill was passed amid the protest by doctors of private hospitals and nursing homes in Rajasthan, the doctors continue to raise their voices against the bill. The medical fraternity is expressing their displeasure with the government's bill. Many such reactions are coming on Twitter.
The demand is to not accept the bill. Here are some related tweets:
"Say No to Right Health Bill ! Government itself Charging Rs 20 as consultation fee in Civil hospital Then how can Govt demand free services from private Drs ? Lawyers ,Judges , teachers ,even politicians r not providing free Services."
"Becoming Dr itself is a herculean task Opening your Clinic atleast takes 14 years Education loan, clinic loan After overcoming all this One day Government force you to treat patients for free or pay you peanuts What will you do if you were in that place?"
"80% of doctors work in private sector and 60% of hospitals are owned by private players. Rajasthan govt's right to health act mandating free treatment will discourage private doctors from providing emergency services, may even lead to shut downs. Such populism ends up hurting the interests of patients as well as the doctors, no one gains anything."
FORDA India tweet reads, "Listen to how correctly the state of healthcare is depicted in @RajGovOfficial by @AshokLahotyBJP in @RajAssembly. 54 licenses for a private doctor, state hospitals in dilapidated state, absolutely NO contribution by the gov in private setups, and still they act like they own it all. Political dreams of @RajCMO turning into nightmares for #doctors. Wake up! @ashokgehlot51 @plmeenaINC @INCIndia @jardsmsjaipur."
