SC adjourns NTA plea hearing till tomorrow on NEET 2021 results
The Supreme Court of India will hear the NTA's ‘special leave petition’ against Bombay High Court tomorrow.
NEET 2021 latest news is the Supreme court of India has adjourned National Testing Agency (NTA)’s plea hearing against the Bombay High Court order till tomorrow.
On Monday, NTA had requested an urgent hearing in the Supreme Court on its plea against the Bombay HC's order that directed NTA to take a fresh examination of two candidates and declare their results along with the results of other NEET 2021 candidates.
The Bombay HC had taken note of the fact that the OMR sheet and the test booklet of the two candidates got mixed at the examination centre Shree Swami Narayan Gurukul International School at Solapur before the examination started. Bombay HC ordered a fresh examination for them and also directed NTA to provide 48 hours notice to the petitioners about the centre and exam date.
NTA in its appeal to the Supreme Court has said that they are ready with the NEET 2021 results but unable to declare it due to the Bombay HC order. NTA said in its appeal that the delay in declaration of NEET 2021 results would also delay the admission process of the undergraduate medical courses including BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery), BSMS (Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery), BUMS (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery)MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery), BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery), and BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery).
NEET 2021 results are expected after the Supreme Court judgement on NTA's petition.
