SMS Medical College Update

The suspension order against three resident doctors of Sawai Man Singh (SMS) due to alleged negligence under the delivery case has finally been revoked.

The medical education department and SMS Medical College administration have issued a notification on the official website declaring the revocation of the suspension of medical students. Further, the notification also mentioned show-cause notices to three resident doctors.

Meeting with Additional Chief Secretary

Reportedly, the results came out after resident doctors had a meeting with Shubhra Singh, additional chief secretary (medical Education) in the evening.

Hearing the Jaipur Association of Resident Doctors (JARD) request, The additional chief secretary directed the medical education department along with SMS Medical College to follow the guidelines, based on which, the suspension was revoked later. However, Singh instructed that the strike period would be compensated with resident doctor's holidays.

The additional Chief Secretary said that the legitimate demands of the students will be taken into consideration to keep their future safe. Consequently, resident doctors called off their week-long strike on Sunday evening after the suspension was revoked.
