Telangana CM inaugurates MBBS academic session at 8 new medical colleges
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has formally inaugurated the MBBS session at eight newly established medical colleges.
MBBS session at Telangana's eight newly established medical colleges commenced with Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao formally inaugurating the academic session for the students who got admission to these colleges.
As planned, he inaugurated MBBS classes virtually from Pragathi Bhavan at 12 noon. Chief Minister termed it an auspicious day in the history of Telangana and said the state government aims to establish a government medical college each in all 33 districts across the state. After the state formation, the number of medical colleges increased from 5 to 17. With this launch, we have a medical college in 17 districts. In the next two years, we will start 17 new colleges in the remaining districts. The State Cabinet had already given in-principle approval for the same, he said, as reported by Telangana Today.
Eight new government medical colleges are in Sangareddy, Mahabubabad, Mancherial, Jagtial, Wanaparthy, Kothagudem, Nagarkurnool, and Ramagundam. District collectors, health department officials, and medical students from the eight districts participated in the launch event.

"My wholehearted compliments to Health Minister @trsharish Garu and his team of able Officials, Doctors and best wishes to the students who begin a new journey today Along with 33 Medical colleges (one per district), 33 Nursing colleges are also being setup All by Telangana Govt," he said through another tweet.
