Telangana MBBS student dies by cutting his private part

In a shocking case, a student in Telangana who was pursuing his MBBS degree, reportedly committed suicide by cutting his private part using a laser blade.

Telangana MBBS student dies by cutting his private part An MBBS student in Telangana reportedly ended his life by cutting his penis, confirmed the police. The student has been identified as Deekshit Reddy, 21. He was battling depression for the past four years and was receiving treatment for his condition, added police.

The parents of the deceased were not at home when he committed suicide and when they returned they discovered that the door was locked from inside. Later, police along with the neighbour broke the door.

As per India Today report, the deceased student was under treatment for depression but he discontinued his medication in the last two to three months.

The Telangana police have registered a case in connection with the incident, and the body of the deceased has been sent for a post-mortem examination. The police are investigating the motive behind the suicide.

A few days ago, another MBBS female student in of the Gujarat Adani Institute of Medical Science (GAIMS) in Bhuj town of Kutch allegedly died by suicide. She was suffering from an anxiety disorder.

Devangi Patel was in the second year of her MBBS degree course.

“She was alone in her room as her two roommates were away. One of her friends met Patel in her room around 7.30 am. But later on, Patel locked herself in the room and hanged herself,” said inspector K C Vaghela, who is in charge of B Division police station, as reported by Indian Express.
