Telangana: NMC approves all 9 new medical colleges from upcoming year

As per reports, from the upcoming academic year, all the new nine medical colleges in Telangana will be functioning.
National Medical Commission (NMC) has approved all nine new medical colleges in Telangana for this academic year.
"Amazing news! Telangana reaches new heights in medical education! Government Medical College, Karimnagar, has received approval with 100 MBBS seats, a testament to CM KCR's commitment to one medical college in every district. Telangana sets a national record with 9 approved government medical colleges this year. Congratulations Komarambheem Asifabad, Kamareddy, Khammam, Vikarabad, Janagam, Rajanna Sirisilla, Nirmal, Jayashankar Bhupalappalli, and Karimnagar! Now 900 MBBS seats will be added, aspiring doctors have unparalleled opportunities to serve people. Under CM KCR's leadership, Telangana has grown from 5 to 26 government medical colleges in just 9 years. This milestone boosts healthcare accessibility and medical education. A government medical college in Karimnagar brings specialized services closer, ensuring exceptional healthcare. On Wednesday, the NMC gave a green signal to Karimnagar Medical College with 100 medical seats for the upcoming academic year. With this, Telangana has added 900 government medical seats in just one year.
Telangana govt grants permission for transfers of faculties
On Tuesday, the state government granted permission to the health department to conduct general transfers of Assistant Professors, Associate Professors and Professors in order to fill critical posts at 17 newly built medical colleges, which are under the administrative control of the director of Medical Education (DME), as reported by India Herald.
