TN NEET UG Counselling 2023: More than 40,000 candidates applied

As per reports, Tamil Nadu has received over 40,000 applications for admission to MBBS and BDS courses. Out of these 26,805 candidates have applied for government quota seats and another 13,394 candidates have applied for management quota seats.

TN NEET UG counselling 2023 registration concluded yesterday, July 12, 2023, at 5 pm. The state has received as many as 40,199 applications from candidates seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses in the state.

As per the report of The Hindu, a total of 26,805 candidates have applied for government quota seats and another 13,394 candidates have applied for management quota seats. 

Only the candidates who have registered successfully will be able to participate in the TN NEET UG counselling 2023. The Tamil Nadu NEET 2023 counselling dates will be released separately for government seats and management quota seats. 

The release of the merit list, choice filling and locking, document verification and uploading, TN NEET UG counselling 2023 round 1 result and downloading of the provisional allotment letter are all expected to be scheduled in August 2023.

The Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Tamil Nadu is the conducting body of TN NEET UG counselling 2023. Now after the registration process is complete, the candidates will be informed about the other steps in the counselling process, such as document verification and seat allotment. 

The state will conduct the counselling process for 85 per cent of seats and for remaining 15 per cent of seats, Medical Counselling Committee will conduct the counselling. NEET 2023 exam was held on May 7, 2023, and the result was declared on June 13, 2023.
