Tripura govt plans medical college and hospital in tribal area

Medical facilities are being improved in the district and sub-divisional hospitals to ease the load on GBP Hospital and Agartala Medical College said Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha who also holds the health portfolio.

While inaugurating an integrated Ayush district hospital in the Chandrapur area in Gomati district, Manik Saha, Chief Minister of Tripura, said his government is contemplating the establishment of a medical college and hospital in a tribal area. He said the state government has already selected a site for a medical college in Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) area. Saha also holds the health portfolio.

"Medical facilities are being improved in the district and sub-divisional hospitals to ease the load on GBP Hospital and Agartala Medical College," he said, as reported by News18.

DME Tripura invites applications for 6 months Training of Ultra Sonography

Directorate of Medical Education Tripura has invited applications for 6 months of Ultra Sonography training namely "the fundamentals of Abdomino-Pelvic Ultra Sonography level 1 for MBBS Doctors at Agartala Govt Medical College & GBP Hospital, Agartala.

Eligibility Criteria - The candidates must be a resident of Tripura who has obtained an MBBS Degree from the any University of India duly recognized by MCI and has got registered with MCI/TSMC, level 1 for MBBS Doctors at Agartala Govt Medical College & GBP Hospital, Agartala. Also, candidates who are pursuing any other course are not eligible for admission to this course. However, candidates who have completed the other course/resigning from the other course before the date of admission to this course of USG training will be eligible to get registration. The candidate must qualify for the NEET PG 2022, added the official notification.
