The police came into action when a girl student from the same school filed a complaint against the principal. Following the complaint, officials concerned received directions to carry out an investigation and take further legal steps.

MP School Principal Arrested

A shocking incidence of sexual offense has emerged in the Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh. Police have arrested a principal of a government school in Madhya Pradesh’ Sidhi district for allegedly making obscene phone calls to a girl student. Audio clips of those obscene calls were surfacing on social media for the past couple of days, a police official said on Monday, April 25.

The police came into action when a girl student from the same school filed a complaint against the principal. Following the complaint, officials concerned received directions to carry out an investigation and take further legal steps, superintendent of police Mahesh Kumar Shrivastava said on Monday.

According to PTI, Khaddi police post-in-charge Bhupesh Kumar Bais said Dhirendra Singh, principal of Government Higher Secondary School, was held under Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act provisions and then released on bail.

Madhya Pradesh School Timings Changed

Meanwhile, earlier this month, the government of Madhya Pradesh changed the school timings in 13 districts along with Bhopal due to scorching heat waves.

Taking to Twitter, the official handle of the education department issued a notification regarding the change the timings of government and non-government schools in Bhopal. The schools in the district will now operate from 7 am to 12 pm only. According to the tweet, the decision has been taken due to the rising heat in the state. However, the timings of the examination remain the same.

“Due to heat, the timings of all government and non-government schools changed. Now schools will start from 7 am to 12 noon," the School Education Department, MP tweeted.
