Mumbai University Exams 2022: Mumbai University has been in limelight for quite some time over its decision to hold offline exams for several courses. Considering the student's request and a directive from Joint Director's office last week, Sophia's college has announced that it has decided to hold the exam in online mode.

Mumbai University Exams 2022: Sophia College to hold exams online

A circular regarding the same was released by the Sophia College which mentioned that most of the exams will be conducted in online mode. Sophia’s College circular stated that exams for semester VI exams undergraduate courses will be in the online mode and the practical examinations will be held in the offline mode.

The circular further stated that the decision was in response to the letter from the joint director (higher education) office dated March 11. The letter directed autonomous colleges to follow Mumbai University’s directives and hold the exams in the online mode. It also said that the decision to hold offline exams will be unfair to the students as there will be huge disparity in marks.

However, the directive was not binding on colleges. On Monday, Mithibai college held its first exam after two years in the offline mode. “Of the over 2,000 students from the second year, almost 100 per cent were present for the exams," the college informed.

NM College also began offline exams from Tuesday and St Xavier’s and Jai Hind, too, are planning to go ahead with offline exams.
