What's the NEET upper age limit case is all about?
Before 2017, there was no upper limit for appearing in the NEET entrance examination. However, a student in 2017 raised a grievance regarding the same and asked about the upper age limit for writing the examination. Addressing this, it was decided that the upper age limit of the unreserved category will be fixed to 25 years and that of the reserved category, it will be 30 years from 2018 to 2019 academic year.
However, this implementation met widespread criticism from NEET candidates who were above the recommended ages and a case regarding this is pending in the top court of the country. Dr Amit is one of the prominent figures who has been standing with students throughout this ongoing case.
