NEET PG Counselling 2022 postponed; Doctors getting anxious waiting endlessly

MCC has postponed the NEET PG Counselling 2022 which was scheduled to start on September 1, 2022, to add more seats in the counselling, read here to know what aspirants think about the new development.

The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has decided to reschedule the NEET PG Counselling 2022 from September 1 till further notification on the dates of counselling. MCC has advised the NEET PG 2022 candidates to keep visiting the MCC's official website for the latest updates.

The official notification reads, "The candidates of NEET PG 2022 are informed that the NEET PG Counselling 2022 was scheduled to commence from September 1, 2022. However, National Medical Commission (NMC) is in the process of issuing new LoPs for the current academic year and the same will be concluded by September 15, 2022. Hence, in order to include more seats in the counselling for the benefit of the candidates, it has been decided by the Competent Authority to reschedule the NEET PG counselling 2022."

Delaying NEET PG 2022 exam was not possible but MCC delayed counselling, say candidates

"The decision of further postponement of NEET PG-2022 is a cruel decision against our reverred 'Covid warrior Doctors' who are sitting idle in expectation of an early counselling. Result declared on 1 June. Three months passed. Need more time? Sad.

"Imagine releasing the results of #NEETPG2022 in 10 days only for your NMC to go on and not conduct counselling for more than 3 months. Can only happen in India. They should be sued for mental harassment by all PG aspirants. But sadly, since Doctors aren’t vote bank, no one cares."

"Sir, they were in great hurry to conduct NEET PG 2022. Exam was conducted on 21/05/2022, result was out on 01/06/2022. 89 days later they suddenly feel the need to add more seats. What a lethargy!"
