NEET UG 2022 conducted on 17 July; Around 17 Lakh candidates appeared for exam

NEET UG 2022 was conducted by NTA on July 17, 2022. This year, 17 lakhs candidates appeared for the medical entrance exam across 497 test centres and 14 cities abroad.

NEET UG 2022 exam has been held by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on July 17, 2022. This year, around 18 lakh candidates appeared for the exams across 497 cities across India and 14 international cities. The number of candidates within India was maximum in Jaipur (52351) and minimum in West Sikkim (105). Similarly, the number of candidates outside India was maximum in Dubai (646) and minimum in Thailand (06).

NEET UG was conducted for the duration of 3 hours and 20 minutes from 2pm to 5:20 pm. NEET UG exam was provided to the aspirants in 13 language options. It is an offline exam (pen and paper-based test). Candidates are provided OMR sheets to choose the correct option. Post the NEET examination, NTA is expected to release the official answer key in the third week of August. The NEET 2022 result will tentatively be released in the first week of September 2022.  

NEET UG 2022 Exam Analysis

As per the experts from top institutes, the difficulty level of the exam was moderate to tough. Out of the three sections, physics was the toughest and biology/zoology was the easiest to attempt. This year, candidates were provided 20 minutes of respite to ensure better time management for the aspirants. Higher weightage was given to Class 12 chapters and topics of the NEET 2022 syllabus.

NEET 2022 Question Paper Codes

NEET is divided into four sets, each further divided into six subsets. The question paper codes for NEET 2022 were Q, R, S and T. Including the subsets, there were a total of 24 NEET 2022 question paper sets, which are as follows:

• NEET 2022 Question Paper Set Q - Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, Q5, Q6

• NEET 2022 Question Paper Set R - R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6

• NEET 2022 Question Paper Set S - S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6

• NEET 2022 Question Paper Set T - T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6

NTA will release NEET UG answer keys 2022 in the 3^rd week of August for the exam-takers.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2022 is the gateway to admission in MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, AYUSH, Veterinary, and other medical/paramedical courses in India. The NEET 2022 question paper booklet carries a total of 200 questions out of which 180 questions have to be attempted from the Physics, Chemistry and Biology sections.
