Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has responded to NEET UG 2022 postponement demand, he said that a majority of students have already prepared for the exam.

While speaking at India Today Education Conclave yesterday, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan spoke about ‘Reimagining Education: The Future of Learning’. He also responded to NEET UG 2022 aspirants' demand to postpone the examination and said that the majority of aspirants have prepared for the examination.

When asked about the NEET UG postponement, he said, “Students are always anxious. All our senior principals are here, educationists are here; they face this problem every month,” as reported by India Today.

He remarked further, “Every month there is an evaluation, every month there is an examination, students come to them, ‘madam this not done, I have not prepared, please extend that."

“They are facing it every month, I am facing it annually,” the union education minister added.

NEET-UG, CUET, JEE (Main) 2022 not to be postponed this year

As per reports, these three entrance examinations will be held on schedule and despite the demand for postponement, it is not going to defer this year.

Officials from the ministry of education have recently said that last year the situation was different due to Covid waves but this year there is no such reason to postpone the examination.

A senior government official said, "Exams are on schedule. The last two academic sessions were already distrusted for various reasons, pandemic being the primary. We are trying to bring that on track and that can happen only when we conduct the exams on time. Students should not get misguided by any rumours or claims by private coaching institutes of any postponement," as reported by TOI.
