NEST 2022 has been conducted on June 18 in two slots across 115 cities across India. The difficulty level was termed as easy to moderate. Know the details here.

NEST 2022 exam has been conducted today, June 18 in two slots. The first slot was scheduled from 9 am to 12.30 pm and the second slot was scheduled from 2.30 pm to 6 pm. The mode of the exam was computer-based (CBT) or online. The medium of the exam was English only. NEST 2022 has been conducted in 115 cities across India. The exam has been conducted jointly by NISER Bhubaneswar and UM-DAE CEBS Mumbai for admission to Integrated MSc programmes at these two institutes for Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

According to candidates, NEST 2022 was of easy to moderate difficulty level. While Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology were on the easier lines, Physics was slightly on the tougher side. Some candidates could not appear for the exam due to the ongoing Agneepath protest.

NEST 2022 Exam Pattern

The following table brings the NEST 2022 exam pattern and structure.

Each MCQ and MSQ carries 2.5 marks and 4 marks respectively. For each wrong answer for MCQs, there is a negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer. There is no negative marking scheme for MSQs.

According to the exam authorities, the NEST 2022 result will be declared on July 5. The NEST 2022 scorecard will carry information on the scores obtained by the candidates, percentile, score and rank obtained will also be released. The merit list of NEST 2022 for NISER and University of Mumbai, UM-DAE CEBS will be prepared separately.
