The offline-based Studio Test is conducted for candidates who have been shortlisted based on their DAT Prelims scores.

The National Institute of Design (NID) will conduct the NID DAT Mains 2022 Studio Test for the B.Des on June 18 (from 9 am - 1 pm). The Studio Test will be conducted in offline mode in seven cities. Eligible candidates will have to report for the Studio Test with their admit cards and a valid photo id proof. Admit cards for the Studio test were released on June 1.

The Studio Test for the M.Des program is currently ongoing; the studio test is held program-wise from June 6-24.

Eligibility for appearing in the NID DAT 2022 Studio Test

Candidates have been shortlisted for the Studio Test based on their performance in NID DAT 2022 Prelims.

The result of the DAT Prelims for B.Des was declared on April 29, while results for the M.Des program were announced on April 22, 2022. 

Test Centres for the NID DAT 2022 Studio Test 

The studio test will be conducted in the following seven cities:

  1. Ahmedabad
  2. Bengaluru
  3. Bhopal
  4. Delhi
  5. Hyderabad
  6. Kolkata
  7. Pune

Shortlist candidates were allowed to select their test centre preferences between May 25-27.

Declaration of NID DAT 2022 Final Results

The final results will be declared by considering the performance of the candidate in DAT Mains and DAT Prelims. 

The DAT Mains for B.Des comprises the Studio Test, while the DAT Mains for the M.Des program comprises a Studio Test and an online Interview. Candidates need to check out weightages for DAT Prelims and DAT Mains (including sub-components.
