NID Mains 2022 - Studio Test for B.Des on June 18; admit card out in 1st week of June

Candidates can select test centers for the offline-based Studio Test from May 25-27. Test centers will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis.

The National Institute of Design will conduct the NID DAT 2022 Mains Studio Test for the B.Des program on June 18 (9 am - 1 pm). The Studio Test will be conducted in offline mode and is open to candidates who have qualfied in the NID DAT 2022 Prelims exam. The B.Des program has an intake capacity of 1831 seats in the seven participating institutes.

It is mandatory for all candidates to appear in the Studio Test. The final result of NID DAT 2022 will be prepared by considering the performance of the candidate in the NID DAT Prelims and NID DAT Mains 2022 (which includes the Studio Test).

Admit cards for the Studio Test will be available from the 1st week of June onward. 

Venue for the Studio Test

The Studio Test will be held in offline mode in the following SEVEN cities;

1. Ahmedabad
2. Bengaluru
3. Bhopal
4. Delhi
5. Hyderabad
6. Kolkata
7. Pune

Selection of test centers for the B.Des Mains Studio Test

Eligible candidates will have to select their choice of test centers between May 25 (4 pm onward) to May 27, 2022. 

The exam timings of the B.Des NID DAT 2022 Studio will be mentioned in the NID DAT Mains 2022 Admit Card (B.Des).

Key points related to booking of DAT Mains Test Centre for Studio Test

• Test centers will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
• The candidate will have to select a test center of their preference from the available options.
• Note that if seats fill up in a certain test center, then that exam city will not be available for the next candidate. So, it is recommended for candidates to book their preferred test city without delay.
• If a candidate fails to book a test center, in such a case the booking system will automatically allocate a test center based on available seats at respective test centers. 
• The final authority related to the allotment of test centers rests with Admission Cell-NID Ahmedabad.
• Rescheduling for allotted test centers will not be entertained. 

Issue of Admit Cards for NID DAT 2022 Mains B.Des Studio Test

Admit cards will be released in the 1st week of June 2022. On the day of the Studio test, the candidate must bring with them a valid photo id proof along with the admit card.
