Candidates can revise their academic programs between June 24-26. Also, it is recommended to fill in as many choices as possible to optimize one’s chances of allotment.
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has notified that it will allow candidates to revise their preferences for academic programs from June 24-26 (up to 10 pm). The entries should be in the order of priority. The institute will also release a revised seat matrix detailing the list of vacant seats on June 24.
The institute has also released a detailed procedure for revising preferences and the eligibility criteria of candidates who can participate in the process.
Who can revise academic preferences
Candidates who meet the following conditions can revise their academic preferences:
- The candidate has paid the counseling fee and has opted for the slide option in Round 1 or Round 2 of NIFT 2022 counseling.
- The candidate has paid the fee and has opted for an upgrade during Round 1 or Round 2.
- The candidate has not been allotted a seat in the first two rounds of NIFT 2022 seat allotment.
Note that the National Institute of Fashion Technology announced seat allotment results for Round 2 on June 21; round 1 allotment was announced on June 14.
What will happen if candidates don’t revise their preferences?
In case the candidate doesn’t avail of the opportunity and revise their preferences, in that case, the original preferences entered by the candidate at the time of NIFT 2022 counseling registration will be considered for seat allotment.
