The GDPI for postgraduate candidates is being conducted from April 7-27. Candidates were shortlisted for the GDPI based on their performance in the NIFT 2022 written tests.
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will conclude the Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GDPI) for the MDes, MFM, and MFTech programs. The GDPI commenced on April 7 and has been conducted program-wise. On the last day, the GDPI is being conducted for M.Des program.
The Situation Test for the B.Des program was conducted from April 2-5, 2022.
In the case of the postgraduate programs, the GDPI carries 30% weightage. Meanwhile, the Situation Test carries 20% weightage.

Release of NIFT 2022 final merit list
The admission committee will release the final merit lists for the undergraduate and postgraduate programs after the conclusion of the Situation Test/ GDPI.
The final merit lists for the B.Des and B.F.Tech program will be released at the same time. Candidates who are included in the final merit lists will be eligible to participate in the NIFT 2022 counseling and seat allotment process.
The NIFT 2022 seat allotment will be based on the merit rank of the candidate and college options picked at the time of counseling.
At the time of counseling, the candidate will have to get their documents verified, pay the counseling fee, and participate in the choice filling. The National Institute of Design will announce the counseling schedule soon.
