Candidates who have been allotted seats for the Spot Round can now pay the seat-acceptance fee between August 4-7.
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has re-opened the seat-acceptance payment option for the Spot Round on August 4; the last date to pay the fee is August 7 (12 noon). The institute had earlier declared seat allotment results for the Spot Roud on July 30.
The counseling process for NIFT 2022 is being conducted in online mode as a joint seat allocation process for the 17 participating NIFTs. A total of six regular seat allotment rounds were conducted, followed by the spot round.
Fresh registration was conducted for the Spot Round from July 21-24.
Reporting and Orientation by candidates
The National Institute of Fashion Technology has notified candidates who have been allocated seats in NIFT 2022 counseling rounds to get in touch with the allocated campuses to get updates on reporting timeline and formalities, including orientation.
NIFT 2022 seat allotment process
The seat allotment process for NIFT 2022 is done based on the following factors:
- The NIFT 2022 merit rank of the candidate
- The academic program and campuses selected at the time of counseling registration, and their order of priority.
NIFT 2022 Seat Matrix
The 17 participating institutes of NIFT 2022 offer a combined seat intake of 5, 023 seats, including 4, 565 seats for Indian nationals and 458 seats for foreign nationals.
Among the 4,565 seats reserved for Indian nationals, 4188 are All-India seats and 377 are state domicile seats.
