NIFT Seat Allotment 2022 - Sample of problems faced by candidates
- Candidates complain that they have been allocated a seat but are unable to download the allotment letter even after multiple attempts.
- Again, some candidates are not even able to log in, as they are getting an “application closed” message.
- The upgrade, slide, and freeze option only appears after the seat acceptance fee has been paid. Some candidates were unaware of it.
NIFT 2022 Helpdesk Response
Students who contacted the NIFT helpdesk have been told that the counseling server is down and hence some candidates are unable to download the allotment letter. Even candidates ranked as high as Common Merit Rank 21 are not able to download the allotment letter in one go.
When did counseling problems start?
The National Institute of Fashion Technology was originally scheduled to declare the seat allotment for PwD category on June 8 and non-PwD category on June 13. However, seat allotment was postponed due to a delay in the document verification process.
Finally, seat allotment for Round I was announced on June 14; but even then the institute put out a seat allotment link for Round II (instead of Round I).
Note that seat allotment for Round II is scheduled for June 20.
