After two years of the Covid-19 pandemic period, the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) is conducting an orientation programme on campus today.
National Law School of India University (NLSIU) could not conduct the orientation programme in 2020 and 2021 on campus due to Covid-19 waves, however, this academic year, the law university is conducting the orientation programme from July 4 to 7, 2022.
The official notification says, "After a gap of two years, we are excited to conduct our Orientation Programme on campus this new Academic Year! We look forward to welcoming a new cohort of undergraduate and postgraduate students including the first cohort of our newly launched LLB (Hons) programme. The Orientation begins on Monday, July 4, 2022, and will continue till Thursday, July 7, 2022."
"Due to the Covid pandemic, the Orientation programme in 2020 and 2021 was conducted online. This year, the Orientation sessions are being held on campus in a hybrid mode with video-conferencing enabled across various classrooms to address students from across our various academic programmes simultaneously. Through this programme, our new students will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the various academic and social activities at NLSIU," added the notification.
NLSIU orientation programme schedule
The orientation programme for new students of BA LLB (Hons), LLB (Hons), and LLM courses commenced with the Introduction and Welcome Address (for all programmes) –hybrid/online by Vice-Chancellor Sudhir Krishnaswamy. For BA LLB Hons students, next was the introduction and welcome address, for LLB (Hons) students, get to know your batch and for LLM programme, it was - know your programme/curriculum (LLM). Today's event would end at 7 pm with the Keynote address 1 (Hybrid) by Speaker Justice Suraj Govindaraj.
