The Centre for Communication Governance at National Law University Delhi (CCG) has opened the registrations for the first edition of the AI Law and Policy Diploma Course. The candidates must register latest by today, October 20, 2022.
The official tweet of CCG reads, "CCG is excited to open registrations for the 1st edition of the AI Law and Policy Diploma Course - an 8 month online diploma course curated and delivered by CCG & @NLUDofficial. "The course will engage with key themes in the interaction of artificial intelligence with law and policy including implications of AI on our society, emerging use cases of AI and related opportunities and challenges, domestic and global approaches to AI governance, ethics in AI, the application of data protection principles to AI systems, and AI discrimination and bias. Students will be exposed to proposed legislation and policy frameworks on artificial intelligence in India and globally, international policy developments, current uses of AI technology and emerging challenges," reads the NLUD statement.
Applications are open for lawyers, professionals (corporate, industry, government, civil society, media/journalists), policy professionals, academicians, researach scholars, graduates from any discipline, and Class 12 passed candidates from any recognised institute with a minimum of 55% marks.
The course will be conducted over a period of thirty-two weeks. The online contact classes for each of the five modules will be conducted regularly over the weekends. Students will be expected to undertake the readings, assignments and assessments through the course in accordance with the academic timeline.
Course payment is INR 90,000 all-inclusive and non-refundable. The topics covered in the course are - AI and the law, Ethics and AI, International processes and governance of AI, AI governance in India, Data Protection and AI, AI discrimination and bias, and emerging uses of AI.
