All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi has made it clear that no employee of staff or faculty member will cease work for any reason whatsoever or disrupt the work or aid or abet such disruption or cessation.

AIIMS Delhi has reminded the nurses on strike about the code of conduct and said that this must be adhered to by all Nursing Officers/Sr Nursing Officers of the Institute irrespective of their grade and cadre and also the various Unions/Associations representing them in order to maintain peace and harmony in the campus and the smooth functioning of the institute.

AIIMS Nurses Strike: Code of Conduct they must follow

Following is the code of conduct that the institute has reminded the nursing officers:

  • No use of loudspeakers or shouting of slogans, demonstrations, or dharna within the campus.
  • No gate meetings or protest meetings of any kind whatsoever are to be held within a radius of 500 meters from the boundary of the institute.
  • No interference in any official work.
  • No resort to any disruptive activity.
  • All trade union activities will be carried out outside the campus.
  • Any violation will result in disciplinary and other actions.

AIIMS Delhi warns nursing officers under probation against participating in strike

AIIMS Delhi's official notification reads, "Attention of all the Nursing Officers under probation is drawn to the condition of appointment order and provision of the Central Civil Service(Temporary Service) Rules, 1965 by which the service of Nursing Officers under probation is liable to be terminated. Accordingly, all the Nursing Officers under probation are advised to desist from participating in the strike as called for by AIIMS Nurses Union and to report for duty."
