Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) is providing training for its employees from May 17, 2022, to May 20, 2022.

PGIMER, Chandigarh conducts training for employees

Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research's (PGIMER) notification stated that as per the direction of the Ministry, it is organising 4 days training program for two batches of officers on the preparation of Reservation Rosters/Responsibility of Liason Officers.

As per the notification, KG Verma, Ex Director is imparting the training to employees of PGIMER from May 17, 2022, to May 20, 2022, at Advanced Paediatric Centre (APC), Auditorium.

The official notification reads, "It is, therefore, requested to kindly spare the Officers/Officials of the respective Branches/Sections (half of the strength for 02 consecutive days (1st batch for May 17 to May 18) and rest of remaining strength for another 02 consecutive days (2nd batch for May 19 and May 20) for said in-house training so that no Officers/Officials can be deprived of form in-house training and to ensure smooth functioning of their respective branches/sections."

PGIMER training details

The Day 1 and Day 2 main topics include Constitutional Provisions about Reservation, Provisions Relating to Availability of Reservation for SCs/STs/OBCs/EWS, Determination of Reserved Posts and Earmarking of Reserved vacancies, Preparation and Maintenance of Reservation/Roster Registers, De-reservation, Role of Liason Officers and Role of SC/ST/OBC Commissions, Introduction to Reservation for Person with Benchmark Disability.

PGIMER recently gets new Director

Dr Vivek Lal, 58, an alumnus and head of the department of neurology at PGIMER became the new director of the medical institute. He has a rich experience of 30 years and 170 publications in peer reviewed national and international journals and book chapters to his credit. In the past, he has worked as a principal investigator in many research projects in the field of neurology, funded by ICMR, CSIO and PGIMER.
