A man from Andhra Pradesh donated his retirement benefits for girl education. The generous act gathered PM’s attention. Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the initiative taken by the man in the 86th rendition of his radio address, ‘Mann Ki Baat’. The Prime Minister informed through his radio address ‘Mann Ki Baat’ that Ram Bhupal Reddy from Andhra Pradesh donated the entirety of his retirement benefits for the girl education. The PM informed that Reddy has donated over 25 lakhs via the Sukanya Samridhi Yojana.

The PM asked people to learn the lesson of selflessness. Praising Ram Bhupal Reddy, PM Narendra Modi said, “My dear countrymen, the mantra of serving society by rising above self, is a part of our values, our sanskar.”

“Countless people in our country are making this mantra their life goal,” he added.

More than 25 lakh donated

Speaking about the donation by Andhra Pradesh’s Ram Bhupal Reddy, he said, “He got accounts opened for about 100 daughters under 'Sukanya Samridhi Yojana', and deposited more than 25 lakhs in it.

Reddy donates all retirement savings

Talking about the generousness that Reddy has shown Praising Ram Bhupal Reddy, PM Narendra Modi said, “I came to know about Ram Bhupal Reddy ji, a friend living in Markapuram, Andhra Pradesh. You will be surprised to know that Ram Bhupal Reddy ji has donated all his earnings after retirement for the education of daughters.”
