Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to unveil multiple projects today in Gorakhpur that include an AIIMS, and a fertiliser factory.

Many mega projects will be unveiled today in Gorakhpur by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During his visit to eastern Uttar Pradesh, he will inaugurate an All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), a fertiliser factory, and three high-standard laboratories set up by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) at the BRD Medical College. The laboratories will facilitate the testing of the encephalitis virus. Earlier, the samples used to be sent to Pune labs for testing.

The fertiliser factory is worth INR 8,600 crore and AIIMS has been built at an expense of INR 1,010 crore.

UP state is all prepared to welcome PM Modi. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has reviewed all preparations and security arrangements. To ensure proper security during PM Modi visit, nearly 4,000 policemen, 53 battalions of paramilitary forces, including the PAC (Provincial Armed Constabulary), the Rapid Action Force (RAF), 12 SSPs (Senior Superintendent of Police) and 24 SPs (Superintendent of Police), have been deployed.

Yesterday, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya had also tweeted to confirm the unveiling of these megaprojects in Gorakhpur on December 7, 2021.

"PM Modi is coming to make East UP’s dream come true. The region's dream of development was not fulfilled by the previous governments and the inauguration of three big projects is the biggest investment in east UP so far," said CM, as reported by TOI.
