Punjab school summer vacations 2022 to begin from June 1; Offline classes until May 31

Punjab Government has decided to continue offline classes in schools until May 31, 2022. In the latest notice, the government has decided to follow the pattern of previous years and announced that offline classes would be held from May 15, 2022, to May 31, 2022.

Punjab Summer Vacation: The Government of Punjab has deferred the summer vacations for Punjab schools. The Government has announced new dates for the summer holidays. According to the revised schedule, summer vacations in Punjab government schools will begin on June 1 and end on June 30, 2022. Earlier, the vacations were scheduled to begin on May 14, 2022.

Earlier, considering the heatwave, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had announced Summer Vacations in Punjab Schools from May 14. The government stated that the decision to postpone the summer break has been taken considering the requests received from parents and students to continue the previous year pattern. The decision has been taken keeping in mind the demand of students and parents and teachers, as per the official notice.

In an official notice, the Government of Punjab has notified on its Twitter account, “In keeping with the huge demand from the students, parents to schedule summer holidays on the pattern of the previous year, classes in the offline mode would be held from May 15th to May 31st, 2022 in all schools while the summer holidays have been scheduled from June 1 to June 30.” Check the tweet below.

The latest decision has received mixed responses from parents and students. Many have also called out the government for deciding to continue online classes even as the mercury continues to rise in the country.
