CSIR UGC NET exam date 2021 has been announced. The exam will be held in January 2022. Read further to know more details.

Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has announced the exam date of the CSIR UGC NET 2021 exam. The CSIR NET 2021 exam will be held on January 29, 2022. The announcement was made by CSIR on its official Twitter handle. The details regarding the release of notification and conduct of exam will be announced soon.

The CSIR NET exam has not been conducted yet in the year 2021. The exam was initially slated to be conducted in mid-July 2021. However, the CSIR Human Resource Development Group (HRDG) postponed the exam in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, the exam will now be held on January 29. As per the CSIR’s tweet, two more rounds of the CSIR NET exam will be held after January 2022 session. Have a look at the tweet below:

The CSIR NET is conducted by the NTA to determine the eligibility of candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship/Assistant Professor post in the universities and colleges of India. Unlike the UGC NET exam, the CSIR UGC NET exam is conducted in the subject falling under the faculty of Science & Technology only.

Candidates who want to obtain eligibility as JRF or Lecturer or Assistant Professor will be required to fill the CSIR NET application form 2021. The NTA will soon release the CSIR NET notification containing important details such as eligibility criteria, exam dates and how to apply.
