HP CM Thakur announces to rename TET Shastri & Language Teacher Papers

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur recently made an announcement that the HP TET Shastri and Language Teacher papers will be renamed as TGT (Sanskrit) and TGT (Hindi), respectively, as per the media reports. However, there is no official notification in this regard from the HPBOSE.

It may be noted here that the Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HP TET) exam is conducted by the HPBOSE twice every year to determine the eligibility of teachers. The exam is conducted for the following eight papers:

  • Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) Arts TET
  • TGT (Medical) TET
  • TGT (Non-Medical) TET
  • Shastri TET
  • Language Teacher (LT) TET
  • Junior Basic Training (JBT) TET
  • Punjabi TET
  • Urdu TET

When will HP TET 2022 be held?

HP TET 2022 notification for the June session is expected to be released soon by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE). As per previous years’ trends, the HP TET exam is likely to be held in June 2022 and November 2022. The HP TET June 2022 notification and dates will be released soon.

The exam will be held in several shifts for eight papers. Each shift will be of two hours thirty minutes. The complete details of the HP TET exam dates and schedule will be announced in the notification.
