The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has changed the designation for IBPS Clerk. The designation has been changed to Customer Service Associate (CSA). The change in designation is effective from April 1, 2024. A total of 6128 were announced for IBPS Clerk exam. The first basic pay for IBPS Clerk is INR 19,900. The IBPS Clerk pay scale is INR 19900-1000/1-20900-1230/3-24590-1490/4-30550-1730/7-42600-3270/1-45930-1990/1-47920. The minimum basic IBPS Clerk salary is INR 19,900 while the maximum is INR 47, 920.

IBPS Clerk final result 2024 will be announced on April 1, 2025. IBPS Clerk Mains result 2024 will be announced on the official website. However, the direct link to check the result will be provided on this page. The result of the final merit list is announced after normalising the marks out of 100. IBPS Clerk mains result 2024 can be checked by logging with the registration number or roll number and date of birth or password.

Q:   How many applicants apply for IBPS Clerk?

A:

Around 5 Lacs candidates apply for the IBPS Clerk exam every year. The selection process consists of two stages prelims and Mains exams. The provisional allocation of candidates is based on the actual vacancies reported by the participating banks. Depending on the performance in the Mains exam, vacancjes and business needs of the participating banks, candidates are selected to one of the participating banks. Selection is done based on merit-cum-preference.

Q:   Can IBPS Clerk become PO?

A:

IBPS Clerk cannot be internally recruited as a Probationary Officer since POs are directly recruited. However, clerks can shift to the officer cadre as TOs (Trainee Officers) or JMGS-1 (Junior Management Grade Officer Scale -1). Candidates are directly recruited as Clerks and Officers, after their respective exams and interviews.

Q:   What is the educational qualification for IBPS Clerk?

A:

The educational qualification for IBPS Clerk is Graduation. Final year candidates are not allowed to appear for the exam. Candidates must have an operating and working knowledge of computers. They must have either a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language or have studied Computer/Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute. Candidates must have proficiency in the Official Language of the State/ UT (candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/ UT) for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply for is preferable. Candidates must meet the educational qualification fixed by the examination authority for appearing in the exam.
