India Post GDS Recruitment 2024: The India Post has released a notification for the recruitment of 44,228 Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) as Branch Postmaster (BPM) and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)/Dak Sevak. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the India Post GDS vacancies online at the official website: indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. The last date to complete registration for India Post GDS recruitment is August 5, 2024.
Those who have passed class 10 with compulsory Mathematics and English can apply for the India Post GDS vacancies. Along with this, they must know how to ride a bicycle. They must be between 18 to 40 years of age. Those belonging to reserved categories will be given relaxation in the maximum age limit.
According to the notification, India Post recruitment of Gramin Dak Sevak will be done in Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Northeast, Punjab, Rajasthan, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal.

The India Post GDS application is available online at the official website: indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. After filling out the India Post GDS form, a fee of INR 100 has to be paid by the applicants for all posts. However, payment of fee is exempted for all female, SC/ST, PwD and Transwomen applicants. India Post GDS Recruitment 2024 Salary
There are two posts in Gramin Dak Sevak Recruitment: Assistant Branch Postmaster and Branch Post Master. The pay scale of an Assistant Branch Postmaster is between INR 10,000 to INR 24,470. While the pay scale of the Branch Postmaster is between INR 12,000 to INR 29,380. Those selected for the posts of Chowkidar will get a monthly salary of INR 20,000.
India Post GDS Recruitment 2024 Selection Process
Selection is done based on a system-generated India Post GDS merit list. It will be prepared based on marks obtained/ conversion of Grades/Points to marks in the class 10th aggregated to percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals.
For applicants where the Secondary School Examination of class 10th mark sheet contains the marks as mentioned in each subject or marks and Grade/Points both, their total will be worked out by taking into account the 'marks obtained'.
