NDA 146th Convocation: 205 Cadets Conferred with Bachelor's Degrees

The Convocation Ceremony for the 146th course of the National Defence Academy was held at Habibullah Hall in NDA, Pune. During the event, a total of 205 cadets were awarded the Bachelor's degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Prof. (Dr.) Sat Prakash Bansal, Vice Chancellor of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Dharamshala, and Vice Chancellor (Additional Charge) of Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla.
NDA Convocation: Degree Distribution by Stream
A total of 82 cadets received degrees in the Science stream, 84 in the Computer Science stream, and 39 in the Arts stream. Additionally, 17 cadets from friendly foreign countries were awarded degrees during the Convocation Ceremony.
The B Tech stream, comprising 132 Navy and Air Force cadets, also received 'three years course completion' certificates. These cadets will be conferred their degrees after completing one year of training at their respective pre-commissioning training academies: the Indian Naval Academy in Ezhimala and the Air Force Academy in Hyderabad.
The academic report for the Spring Term 2024 was presented. In his convocation address, the Chief Guest congratulated the cadets of the passing out course on completing their training at one of the world's premier training academies. He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the parents for encouraging their children to join this prestigious Tri-Services training institute of the Indian Armed Forces.
Earlier, as a prelude to the Passing Out Parade, a Cadetsβ Activity Display was held at Bombay Stadium, National Defence Academy, Pune, showcasing exceptional skills acquired through various aspects of military training. The event featured spectacular and awe-inspiring acts of combat and adventure, attended by Chief of Army Staff Gen Manoj Pande. The audience also included senior dignitaries, proud parents of the Passing Out Course, and cadets of the 146th Course.
The display began with a welcome to the distinguished gathering, marked by a standing salute and flag hoisting in true cavalry tradition. The event featured an ensemble of 270 cadets and 38 horses, demonstrating high standards of training, complete synchronization of actions, and physical excellence.
The event began with a daring and fearless equestrian display by the cadets, leaving everyone spellbound and awestruck. The NDA cadets then showcased jointmanship through a synchronized Tri-Services Attack Demo. The event concluded with the High Horse Team forming a tableau to bid ADIEU to the 146th Course.
