SSC CGL Post Preference 2023 Deadline Today! The Staff Selection Commission is all set to close the window to fill and submit SSC CGL Post Preference 2023 today, i.e. November 23, 2023. Candidates willing to submit their SSC CGL Post Preference 2023 may complete the process online at ssc.nic.in. 

Earlier, the Staff Selection Commission extended the deadline to fill and submit SSC CGL Post Preference 2023. In a notification related to option-cum-preference for SSC CGL 2023, the Commission stated, “The window for submission of the Option-cum-Preference by the candidates is extended and shall remain active till 23.11.2023 (11:59 PM).”

How to submit post preference for CGL 2023?

Step 1. Visit the official website at ssc.nic.in

Step 2. On login using your registered username and password.

Step 3. Now, select your preferred posts or departments and submit the option-cum-preference form.

Step 4. Download and save the confirmation page for future reference.

Stating the reason behind the extension of the deadline, SSC said, “It is informed that due to a technical issue, options exercised by few candidates upto 20.11.2023 (12:00 PM) may have some error. Therefore, such candidates are advised to check the preferences filled by them and revise the same, if required.”

Earlier, the deadline to submit SSC CGL Post Preference 2023 was November 21.

“This is the last and final opportunity being given to the candidates to exercise their Option-cum-Preference. The candidates who fail to exercise their Option[1]cum-Preference during the aforesaid period, shall not be given any further opportunity for submission of their Option-cum-Preference and such candidates will not be considered for inclusion in the final merit list / final selection,” the notice said.

“The modality for submission of Option-cum-Preference shall remain the same as indicated in the Important Notice dated 17.11.2023,” the Commission added.

SSC CGL Post Preference for PwBD candidates

“PwBD candidates must ensure that they give preference for only those posts which are identified as suitable for their disabilities. Allocation of posts will be made as per the provisions of the Notice of Examination on the basis of 'merit-cum-preference of posts'. The candidature of a PwBD candidate will get cancelled by the User Department concerned if he/ she gets selected for a post that is not identified as suitable for his/ her disabilities,” the Commission said in a notice released earlier.
