SSC Constable GD Notification was expected to be released on March 25 but was delayed. A good number of SSC Constable (GD) vacancies is expected this year. Read further for details.

The SSC GD constable 2021 notification was expected to be released on March 25. The SSC Constable (GD) notification 2021 will be released very soon. Staff Selection Exam (SSC) conducts the General Duty (GD) constable in the Central Armed Police forces (CAPF). Both males and females can apply online for the SSC Constable(GD) Exam.

The SSC GD constable 2021 notification is expected to have a huge number of vacancies because, in the last notification, the SSC GD Constable Vacancies were approximately 60,000 for the constable and rifleman posts. The SSC GD Constable 2021 Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be conducted from August 2 to 25.

The recruitment for the post of General Duty Constable is done for the following Central Armed Forces.

• Border Security Force (BSF)        
• Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)
• Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)
• Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)
• Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)          
• National Investigation Agency (NIA)
• Secretariat Security Force (SSF)

In the previous SSC GD Constable notification, the position of Rifleman was advertised for the Assam Rifles only.

The SSC Constable Eligibility criteria will be defined in the official notification. As per the previous notification, the age criteria for the SSC GD constable exam is 18-23 years. The cut-off dates for the age calculations will be defined in the SSC GD Constable notification 2021. 

For applying in the SSC GD Constable Exam 2021, the candidates must be a citizen of India. The educational qualification required for the SSC GD Constable Exam is Matriculation passed from any recognised board. The candidates appearing in class X will not be eligible to appear in Class X.

SSC Constable exam is a three-stage exam comprising the online written test, Physical efficiency and Standard Test and Medical Exam and document verification. The SSC GD 2021 CBT will have 100 questions. The candidates need to solve the question paper in two hours.

The candidates declared qualified in the CBT will be called for the Physical Efficiency/ Standard Test (PET/PST). Every year, the ministry of Home designate one authority to conduct the Physical examination. After the Physical and Medical test, the candidates are called for the document verification and the result is declared. The selected candidates are allocated to a particular force for an appointment.
