SSC JE Result 2024: The Staff Selection Commission will soon declare the result of the SSC JE tier 2 exam. SSC JE Result Stages and Shortlisting Criteria
The SSC Junior Engineer result is announced in multiple stages corresponding to the exam papers, as detailed below:
- SSC JE Paper 1 Result: All candidates who submit the SSC JE application form are eligible to appear for Paper 1. Based on their performance in Paper 1, shortlisted candidates are invited to take Paper 2.
- SSC JE Paper 2 Result: Paper 2 is a descriptive examination conducted in offline mode. The final shortlisting for various JE posts is determined by combining the marks obtained in both Paper 1 and Paper 2, subject to the availability of SSC JE vacancies for 2024.

The Commission is expected to release the SSC JE 2024 Tier 2 result in November 2024 on its official website at ssc.gov.in. The SSC JE Tier 2 result will be available in the PDF format and will consists of the names and roll numbers of the selected candidates. The tier 2 exam was conducted on November 6, 2024.
Q: What happens after the declaration of SSC JE paper 2 result?
After the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) releases the SSC JE Paper 2 result, the final merit list is made for the candidates combining the marks of Paper 1 and Paper 2. The candidates whose roll numbers appear in the final merit list are called for the document verification stage. The candidates have to submit the documents asked by the SSC like marksheets, passing certificate, etc., for different stages of education, identity proof like driving license, pan card, etc. Once the provisionally selected candidates clears the document verification round then the SSC provides appointment letter to the candidates acording to their preferences adn the performance in the exam. Yes, the SSC JE 2023 selection process was changed on February 28, 2023. The SSC JE selection process comprises three steps:
- Tier 1 exam: A compucter based test (CBT) is conducted by the SSC to select candidates for the Tier 2 exam. The selection is done in the ratio of 1:3 (3 candidates per seat).
- Tier 2 exam: It uis also a CBT exam to shortlist the candidates for the Documnet Verification (DV).
- Document Verification (DV): The shortlisted candidates have to present thier certificates and documents to the SSC. The commission verifies documents and after that are appointed to various departments according to their preferences.
