UGC NET 2020 result statistics; 47157 candidates qualify

The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the UGC NET 2020 result yesterday, December 1. Six percent of candidates who appeared in both the UGC NET papers and obtained minimum qualifying marks in aggregate of both the papers were declared NET qualified. The UGC NET eligibility certificates to all the qualified candidates will be issued to aspirants shortly.
As per the statistics released, total 47,157 candidates have qualified the UGC NET exam. Out of this, 6,171 candidates have qualified the exam for ‘JRF and Assistant Professor’ and 40,968 aspirants have qualified the exam for ‘Assistant Professor only’.
This year, total 8,60,976 (2,59,734 for Assistant Professor only and 6,01,242 for JRF and Assistant Professor) candidates registered for the UGC NET exam out of which 5,26,707 (1,40,479 for Assistant Professor only and 3,86,228 for JRF and Assistant Professor) candidates appeared.

UGC NET Result 2020: Number of Candidates Allotted National Fellowship
Out of the 40,986 candidates who have qualified the UGC NET exam for Assistant Professor only, 36,138 candidates have qualified for the award for following National Fellowships:
- 4,029 candidates awarded National Fellowship for Scheduled Caste Students (NFSC)
- 431 candidates awarded National Fellowship for Other Backward Classes (NFOBC)
- 475 candidates awarded Maulana Azad National Fellowship for Minority Students (MANF)
