UPSC Exam Analysis 2023 is available here for the candidates. The Commission increased the answer option pattern, introduced last year, to more questions. The Commission asked questions on all topics except Ancient History and the Mughals. Some candidates were expecting more questions from Modern History. The UPSC prelims 2023 was a conceptual paper and few questions were factual in orientation. The candidates who are good at elimination are expected to score better in the paper. The Commission increased multidisciplinary questions in the paper. There was an increase in questions from international relations, environment and Science and Technology in the paper. There were no surprising elements in the paper as such and the Commission has followed its standards. The UPSC expected cutoff 2023 will be around 85 - 90 marks.
