UPSC IAS Interview Schedule released

UPSC IAS Interview Schedule 2022 has been released by the Commission on March 23. The eligible candidates can see here their personality test dates. The UPSC personality test will begin on April 5, as mentioned in the earlier notice. There are 1,823 candidates called for the interview. The interview will end on May 26. The result will be declared before the IAS prelims exam, which is scheduled to be conducted on June 5.

In the interview schedule notice, UPSC mentioned they will reimburse the lowest to and fro airfare to the candidates for travelling by any airlines (through the authorised travel agents) to the outstation candidates for attending the interview/personality test subject to the following conditions.

a) Air ticket of lowest available fare of Economy class should be booked through the following authorised travel agents only, immediately after downloading the interview schedule/ e-summon letter:

1. Ashoka Tours & Travels,

2. Balmer & Lawrie; and

3. IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation)

b) Air Tickets booked through the website of the airlines or Private travel agents viz. MakeMyTrip, Yatra, Goibibo, Ease My Trip, Cleartrip, Paytm etc. will not be considered for reimbursement;

c) Candidates will have to submit hard copies/print out of Air Tickets (To and fro journeys) showing the details of airfare along with boarding pass (For onward journey only) for reimbursement, and an undertaking to the effect that the air ticket has been booked at the best available lowest fare; at the time of claiming travel allowance contribution;

d) Second/ Sleeper class train fare (Mail Express) will be reimbursed if the candidates perform their journey by Rail irrespective of the class under para 132 of Service Rule.

The UPSC released the Civil Service (IAS) main result on March 17. The candidates get only 18 days to prepare for the personality test. UPSC released the interview begin dates and DAF dates earlier.
