A delegation of 40 international visitors from the Know India Program (KIP), an initiative of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, visited the scenic campus of BML Munjal University (BMU). The visit aimed to provide the delegates with a firsthand experience of the Indian University education system.

The delegates, representing the “Girmitiya counties” as well as Malaysia, Australia and South Africa, were warmly welcomed by the BMU leadership. During their visit, they engaged in interactive sessions with faculty members, students, and administrators, gaining insights into the university's academic programs, research activities, and campus life. The program included a guided tour of the BMU campus, showcasing its state-of-the-art infrastructure, including modern classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and recreational facilities. The delegates also had the opportunity to attend presentations on various topics related to Indian education, culture, and society.

“We are happy that the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India has thought of BMU as one of the university campuses in India for the Know India Program delegates to visit to develop a sense of the new directions and possibilities in India’s higher education," said Prof Shyam Menon, Vice Chancellor, BML Munjal University.

"This visit constitutes a prelude to possible cultural exchange and academic & research collaborations, particularly with Southeast Asia and the Caribbean, which are regions of strategic importance for our University."

"BML Munjal University has truly left a lasting impression on us. The warm traditional welcome, modern design, and pioneering concept of liberal studies, especially at the postgraduate level, showcase a commitment to academic excellence. The commitment to community service, both by the faculty and students, is inspiring, considering the social and economic context of India. Moreover, witnessing the advancements in robotics emphasizes the university's dedication to cutting-edge technology. The visit has left an indelible mark on us, and we are grateful for the opportunity to witness the university’s excellence”, by Fiji delegates.
