Amity University and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) jointly organised a workshop on Astrobiology, AI and Data Analytics at Amity University Bangalore. The inaugural session included brief introductions from scientists of both ISRO and Amity.
Sudheer Kumar Discussed Strategies to Enhance Payload Capacity
Sudheer Kumar N, ISRO presented ongoing research highlighting the vision of an Indian landing on the Moon by 2040 and strategies for enhancing payload capacity and capacity-building programs based on Space Missions. The inaugural programme witnessed S. Somanath, Chairman of ISRO, Prakash Chauhan, Director of the National Remote Sensing Centre, Hyderabad, and Sudheer Kumar N, Director of Capacity Building & Public Outreach at ISRO, alongside other esteemed scientists from ISRO.

Aseem Chauhan, Chancellor welcomed the attendees and expressed gratitude to S. Somanath for his invaluable presence and guidance, acknowledging his role in paving the way for collaboration between Amity and ISRO.
W Selvamurthy showcased Amity's significant contributions towards Space, Science, and Technology, highlighting the "Amity Space Mission". He emphasized Amity's endeavours in Space research, including the establishment of the Amity Ground Station Dubai, Amity Centre for Astrobiology at Amity University Mumbai, Amity Centre of Ionosphere Studies at Amity University Chhattisgarh, and the Amity Centre for Artificial Intelligence, Amity Noida.
A K Singh expressed gratitude for the meticulous planning of the workshop, emphasizing its pivotal role in fostering collaboration and outreach activities. Dr. Singh concluded with the anticipation of fruitful collaborations emerging from the workshop discussions. The collaborative workshop signifies a step towards realizing the shared vision of advancing space research and technology, underscoring Amity's commitment to excellence in academia and research.
