BHU Recruitment 2024: Applications open for Research Assistant 

Banaras Hindu University has invited applications for the post of Research Assistant by March 9, 2024. The opening is at the Department of Geography, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University.

The educational requirement is the candidates must have completed a post-graduation in Geography or allied disciplines with 55% marks to be eligible for the post. The post of RA is with a fixed amount of INR 24,782 per Month in the BHU Institute of Eminence (IoE) sponsored "Seed Grant- II" Project. There is only one post available.

The upper age limit is 28 years. The desirable qualification is knowledge to handle Geospatial and Remote Sensing Data, GIS software, and socio-economic survey analysis experience; and working knowledge of computers and a good command of the English language. Preference will be given to candidates having, fieldwork experience and skills for handling Gcospatial data and Gcospatial analysis.

BHU invites applications for JRF by March 8

Applications are invited for one position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a SERB, New Delhi-sponsored research project (No. P-07/1314) entitled, “Divergent reactivity of dithioesters and thioamides: a one-pot synthetic approach to functional heterocycles via recent strategies”

sanctioned for a period of three years. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project with emoluments as laid down in the SERB research project for JRF. 

The candidate should be M. Sc. in Chemistry with 55% marks with NET/GATE or equivalent. Candidates with experience in research in the area of project or related field would be preferred. All things being equal SC/ST candidates would be preferred as per GOI rules. The upper age limit shall be as per university and SERB rules and is relaxable up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/female and physically handicapped candidates.
