Banaras Hindu University (BHU) will announce the round 1 seat allotment result for undergraduate programmes at the official website. Students will be able to check BHU seat allotment result 2024 for round 1 from August 17, 2024 onwards. The BHU round 1 seat allotment result time is 5 PM as per Indian standard time. Besides, students will be able to submit the requisite admission fee in online mode by August 20, 2024 (up to 5 PM).
Students must note that the BHU seat allotment 2024 for all UG Programs will be solely based on scores secured in CUET UG 2024, except for practical-based courses/ Sports Quota. Further, students must note that the allotment process is provisional and ineligible students will be disqualified from admission during any stage of counselling process. The BHU seat allotment will further be dependent on several factors such as seat availability, merit list specific to the program and applied category of the candidate.

Students must be mindful that once the merit list-cum-allotment is released, students have to carefully check it on the admission portal dashboard. Once the BHU seat allotment process is completed, eligible students will have to complete the admission formalities and make payment of the admission fees to secure admission.

While filling the CUET application form, candidates are advised to carefully mark the subjects from languages, domain subjects and general test. If the candidate has applied for four CUET domain subjects and appears for three subjects, it may affect the overall percentile of the candidate. BHU admission to most of the courses is entrance-based, hence it is compulsory to appear for the CUET-UG/ CUET-PG entrance exams to get admission to BHU undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The university also accepts other entrance exam such as NEET, GATE, CAT, etc. for admission to specific courses. Hence, aspirants need to appear for the accepted entrance-exam and also meet the course-specific eligibility for admission at BHU.

The eligibility criteria define the minimum requirements that MBBS course aspirants need to fulfil to get admission. Thus, to be eligible, an aspirant must be a Class 12 or equivalent pass with Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry. Biology) and English from a recognised Board/University. Additionally, the candidate should have passed the exam with a minimum of 50% aggregate (PCBE) for the General Category, 40% for OBC (non-creamy layer)/SC/ST and 45% for PC in General Category).

BHU offers a three-year full-time BCom (Hons) course at the undergraduate level. Candidates seeking admission must visit the official website of the university to apply online. To be eligible for BHU BCom (Hons) courses, candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam with Commerce/ Economics/ Maths/ Computer Science/ Finance/ Financial Markets Management/ Vocational Courses (related to commerce) as one of the subjects with a minimum aggregate of 50%. The minimum age limit to apply for this course should not be more than 22 years on 1st July of the admission year (applicant should be born on or after 2nd July of 2001).
Q: Do the Class 12 marks affect CUET results?
No, class 12th marks are not taken into consideration for CUET results. However, candidates must score minimum of 50% marks in aggregate to qualify for university admission process. Class 12th or board examination is an achievement test whereas, CUET is a selection test.
