Central University of Haryana Launches PhD in Research and Publication Ethics Programme

CUH has commenced PhD in Research and Publication Ethics Programme as per the UGC's 2019-20 guideline to make research and ethics, a two-credit mandatory programme at the university. 

Central University of Haryana (CUH) has started PhD in Research and Publication Ethics Programme at the university. Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Central Library, Central University of Haryana organised an induction programme on the 'Research and Publication Ethics' course on April 5, 2024. The purpose of the programme was to spread awareness while pursuing a PhD. During the programme, students as many as 50 PhD scholars from several departments participated who are pursuing PhD. 

Reason Behind Introducing Research and Publication Ethics Programme

UGC, in 2019-20, made the 'Research and Publication Ethics' programme a mandatory two-credit programme for PhD students as a part of their course work. The course consists of all fundamentals related to research ethics, scientific conduct, avoidance of plagiarism, publication misconduct, research tools etc. With a view to involve ethical values among research scholars, this programme was introduced. 

Dr. Santosh C. H. thanked Vice Chancellor Prof Tankeswar Kumar for his support and encouragement for implementing research and publication ethics into PhD curriculum. 

The Deputy Librarian informed regarding library services and its resources. On the other hand, Dr. Vinod Kumar, Assistant Librarian, introduced students to the plagiarism services to be provided by the library, whereas assistant librarian, Mr. Naresh Kumar, introduced e-resources subscribed by the library. The PhD students were well assisted during this programme and the team cleared their doubts imperturbably.
