CUET 2022 for Phase 1 has commenced today, on July 15. The exam is being conducted in a computer-based mode in 514 cities across India and abroad. Know the details here.
The CUET 2022 exam has commenced today, on July 15 across 500 cities in India and 14 internal cities. Around 15 lakh candidates are appearing for the exam being conducted over a window of 10 days between July 15 and August 20 in two phases. The CUET UG 2022 Phase 1 exam will be conducted till August 4.
According to NTA, candidates have applied for 54,555 unique combination of subjects across 90 Universities. The duration of the exam is 3 hours and 15 minutes. The test will be conducted in a computer-based mode (CBT) in 13 languages, which are English, Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Odia, Punjabi, Marathi, Gujarati, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Urdu.

Marking scheme: Candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct answer. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 mark for each incorrect answer.
While Section I or the Language Test is mandatory, Section III or the General Test section is not mandatory and it depends on the programmes or papers opted for.
There are certain differences between the pattern of CUET 2022 Slot 1 and Slot 2 in terms of duration, number of questions and total marks. The differences are stated below.

List of Languages for CUET 2022
The languages offered under Section IA of CUET 2022 are Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odiya, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, English, Hindi and Urdu.
For Section IB, the languages include French, Spanish, German, Nepali, Persian, Italian, Arabic, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Konkani, Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Manipuri, Santhali, Tibetan, Japanese, Russian, and Chinese.
A total of 8,10,000 candidates and 6,80,000 candidates will take the test in the first and second slot respectively. CUET 2022, formerly known as CUCET, is conducted for the admission to undergraduate courses across various streams in 43 Central Universities, 13 State Universities, 12 Deemed Universities and 18 private universities across India.
