The number of subjects that can be chosen by candidates is also to be reduced in CUET 2024 which may facilitate the smooth conduct of the examination, verification of Answer Keys, evaluation, etc, said NTA to Delhi High Court.
CUET 2024: The Delhi High Court was hearing two pleas filed by a candidate who appeared in the CUET UG 2022 exam seeking direction to NTA to publish the final year answer key and to reconsider the objections raised by him regarding two questions and a corrected scorecard. During the court proceedings, NTA assured the court that the CUET UG 2024 final answer key would be uploaded on its website at least a day prior to the final declaration of the result.
Justice C Hari Shankar was hearing these pleas. The court was given the assurance that any exercise of consideration of objections to the provisional answer key would be undertaken only prior to the CUET 2024 final results, as reported by Live Law.
βThe fact that CUET was being conducted for the first time, and the magnitude of the exercise, had persuaded the NTA to adopt this approachβ, noted the court.
βThe number of subjects that can be chosen by candidates is also to be reduced in CUET-UG 2024 which may facilitate the smooth conduct of the examination, verification of Answer Keys, evaluation, etc,β NTA informed the court.
The Court is satisfied with the explanation. The NTA is directed to ensure that these assurances are scrupulously adhered to, in future.
