CUET UG 2023 Registration to Begin Soon; Know Eligibility Criteria, Application Process and Documents Required

CUET UG 2023 will be conducted from May 21 to May 31. According to UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar, the application process will begin in the first week of February. Prior to the release of the application forms, aspirants aiming to appear for CUET UG must be aware of the CUET eligibility criteria and application process in detail. CUET UG, as the name suggests, is an undergraduate national-level entrance exam meant for multiple courses across streams. The CUET UG scores are accepted by approximately 90 universities in India. As per the eligibility criteria of the exam, candidates should have passed or appeared for the Class 12 Board exam. The further eligibility criteria may vary from university to university.

CUET UG 2023 Eligibility Criteria

• Students will need to have passed Class 12 from a recognised board in Science or a relevant stream to take admission to bachelor’s degree programmes in the Central Universities.

• For the General category, the candidate needs to secure a minimum of 50 per cent in Class 12, for SC/ST, candidates need to have secured a minimum of 45 per cent in Class 12 in order to be eligible for the CUET 2023. For BTech programmes, the minimum aggregate for the General category candidates is 45 per cent and that of the reserved category candidates is 40 per cent.

CUET UG Application Process

The CUET UG application process is completely online. Candidates will have to visit the official website of CUET UG, www.cuet.samarth.ac.in. Let us take a look at the step-by-step process of how to apply for CUET UG 2023.

• Visit the official website of CUET UG

• Click on the tab indicating CUET 2023 Registration

• Enter the mandatory details such as name, email id and mobile number

• Enter the captcha

• Once your registration credentials are generated, login to complete the application process

• Fill in the CUET application form with personal, educational and communication details followed by course, university and exam city preferences

• Applicants will have to upload their photograph, signature and category certificate documents in the requisite format and sizes

• The last and final step is to pay the application fee net banking/ credit card/ debit card/ UPI/ Wallet

Candidates can apply to a maximum of three participating central universities only. To apply to more than three universities, candidates must pay the application fee again.
